My reflection on road tripping, blogging, and a special surprise at the bottom of the post.

Hi Furriends! As you may have noticed, I have taken a little bit of a break from the blog. Hopefully, you have been following along on my Instagram page where I have been sharing my adventures, but I have missed writing to you here and have so many new things to share. It has taken a minute to organize my thoughts, but I am ready. That being said, if you are still here and following along or looking for some dog friendly inspiration, consider this my renewed commitment to you. I can’t wait to share many of my exciting adventures. If you are new to my page, WELCOME! I hope you enjoy everything I have to offer.

Opening my notebook and taking myself back to our previous trips has brought all the emotions. I am so grateful for all the amazing adventures. They say the average American has only been to 12-17 states. I have already doubled that! Less than 2% have been to all 50 and I am well on my way. It’s pretty epic to think about all the cool places I have been. Photos are my life journal and looking at one picture can put me right back in that exact moment. If there is no photo, did it even happen?! So when you see 60,000+ photos on my phone, it tracks. And now you know why it has taken so long to organize not only my thoughts, but also the photos.

Going back through those photos is how I started noticing something, one of the craziest parts about finding and supporting small businesses is realizing how many great places aren’t around indefinitely. While going through my travels and photos and writing about some places I visited a couple years back, it is crazy to see that some of my favorite places don’t even exist anymore. My hope is that by sharing my favorites, I can help these businesses last as long as possible so more people get to experience their greatness.

Now for some exciting news. I have had this idea for what feels like forever, and I am finally ready to share it:

Koa’s Favs Google Maps List is now live!

Every dog friendly spot I've ever loved, 123 places and counting, dropped right onto a map, ready whenever you need it. No scrolling back through old posts, no digging through saved captions. Just pull it up, see what's near you, and check it out. This is also a way to quickly confirm the business is still around. This one's for all of you who've been asking where to find my favorites, and honestly, it's for future-me too.

More to come soon! We have a couple great ones lined up for the next couple months so be sure to check back next week for a new story from yours truly.
